New and exciting technologies are being released and updated every day. In a lot of cases building a proof of concept at work requires approval and red-tape. Enter the homelab: throw a few old computers together and cable things up!
Homelabbers enjoy building enterprise grade systems in their free time and often dedicate surprising amount of money towards these labs. Sometimes a home lab is a raspberry pi serving DNS, and sometimes it’s a full failover VMWare Vsphere cluster. Virtualization and container technologies have made it easier than ever to build intricate systems at home.
I’ve put together some of my experiences int he lab for others to browse through.
